Viar Figs is an inspiring young and family-run project dedicated to producing high-quality, flavorful, and healthy fruit through sustainable and environmentally respectful farming practices.
Our innovative project of fig tree cultivation was born within our family during a drought season that threatened significant water shortages for agricultural irrigation. This challenge led us to harness the natural adaptability of fig trees to low water availability.
Our fields are located in the Northern Hemisphere, in southern Spain, in the Andalusian region. They are spread across various agricultural sites between the foothills of the Sierra Norte of Seville and the fertile plains created by the Guadalquivir River in the northern part of Seville province.
Our agricultural region benefits from early maturation, thanks to our Mediterranean climate characterized by mild winters and long, warm, and dry summers. This allows for excellent early breva harvests in late spring and extended fig harvests throughout the summer and early autumn.
Our team comprises professionals with extensive experience in sustainable agriculture and fruit marketing within the European Union’s intracommunity market and select international markets.
