DO FRESH FIGS MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT?

Not as much as we think. For every 100 grams of fresh fruit, figs provide 65 calories (very close to the 52 calories of apples and much less than the 127 of persimmons or the 89 of bananas).

Looking at carbohydrates, figs contain only 16 grams, again similar to apples with 14 g and less than bananas with 23 g and persimmons with 34 g per 100 grams of fruit consumed. Additionally, figs provide 2.5% natural fibers, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A, E, and B6.

BETTER NATURAL:

Fig fruits should be eaten whole (without peeling), except for the hardened part of the stem (the stalk), to fully enjoy their natural flavor. The external skin is rich in natural fibers, which are healthy and aid digestion.
